Honor of Kings: World – New Trailer Showcases Open-World RPG Action

Honor of Kings: World is a cooperative action RPG developed by TiMi Studios, a subsidiary of Tencent. The game is being designed for PC and mobile platforms, featuring an open world with a fantasy setting. In the latest trailer, developers showcased stunning visuals, dungeon raids, and large-scale battles. The gameplay is reminiscent of The First Descendant, offering vast environments, seamless vertical and horizontal movement, hidden chests, powerful bosses, and voice chat for team communication. A photo mode and quick team emote commands are also included.
Vertical traversal in Honor of Kings: World is enhanced by electric threads, allowing characters to grapple onto surfaces. Each team can consist of up to four heroes who can jump high and glide using jetpacks. Enemies shown in the trailer are around level 60. In addition to magical and medieval weapons, players will also have access to firearms.
The open world includes world bosses that blend naturally into the environment, such as massive rock formations that suddenly come to life. There are also aerial bosses and arena battles that require players to dodge targeted and AoE attacks.
Even with melee weapons, players can juggle enemies in midair, continuing combos without touching the ground, adding a stylish and modern combat dynamic. The trailer also features a boss fight at level 70, divided into multiple phases. Notably, only two heroes are seen battling instead of four, suggesting that one of them might be an NPC.
