Star Wars: Hunters has had a challenging journey. After an extended soft launch, many doubted it would ever see a full release. However, it officially launched last June, becoming available on iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, and PC. While it brought a fresh take on team-based combat, some players found its competitive focus overwhelming. Over time, the game faded from public view, despite occasional updates featuring new maps and characters.

It turns out this silence was not without reason—publisher Zynga has confirmed that Star Wars: Hunters will be shutting down. The official announcement was posted on the game’s website. The good news is that servers will remain active until October 1, giving players ample time to enjoy the game before it goes offline. Unfortunately, there are no plans for an offline version.

Players can continue enjoying Star Wars: Hunters until October 1, 2025, after which all game modes will become inaccessible. Refunds for the Season 5 Battle Pass will not be issued, as the publisher had already provided 30 days’ notice before disabling in-game purchases on April 15, allowing players to maximize their rewards. Similarly, refunds for purchased crystals will not be available.

The final content update will roll out on April 15. After that, gameplay will remain unchanged until the shutdown. A small silver lining—players can still download the game from the App Store and Google Play until the servers go offline for good.
